Aiguilles Rouges 20.-22. 6. 2018

Starting a three day hike in the late afternoon from Chamonix.

Crossing a stream from hydro-power plant.

Entering Brévent/Flégère ski resort.

With alpenroses (Rhododendron) on the slopes of Aiguilles Rouges.

Somebody is following me.

It was Yury. If we couldn't find each other in Chamonix, we at least knew where we are heading.

Evening thunderstorm brought a rainbow.

And beautiful colours.

Just a short hike up the snowfield to Col Cornu Pass before it gets dark.

Overnighting at the pass.

Lac Cornu was the destination but due to the very high snowfall in the winter, this was everything that could be seen.

There was, surprisingly, nobody at the usually very crowded top.
