Ålesund, Runde and Geirangerfjord 13.-14.7. 2019

Afternoon visit of Ålesund on a way south along the coast.
Happy little tourist.

Goksøyr village packed with tourists that came for bird watching.
On a midnight hike to Runde Fyr.

The lighthouse was automatised in 2002 and after the lighthouse keeper left the housing facilities were taken over by DNT.

Despite the steep slopes, the fjord was hosting several farms. Skageflå farm could sustain more than hundred sheep and goats and was abandoned in 1906.
Knivsflå farm was abandoned in 1898 due to falling rocks.
