Saturday, 07 March 2020
Back to Hemsedal also this year.
Setting out together with Sven and Janneke for a friday afternoon skiing trip.
Løkjestølane as a starting point.
While Janneke went for cross country skiing, me and Sven went for ski touring.
Up the slope of Nibbi.
Helsinglie in the background.
Pleasantly warm and calm weather changed to very windy and cold as we got higher.
Almost at the summit.
The summit of Skarvanfjellet (1735 m)
Ridge to Nibbi.
Panorama towards the northwest over the mountains of Hemsedal.
Preparing for descent under the summit where the wind was slightly less strong.
On the slopes.
Sven ...
Warming up with tea.
Janneke is preparing a delicious mushroom risotto, while the others arrived from Oslo.
Next morning in the cabin above Gol.
With two granaries turned into bedrooms.
Start of the next day's trip close to Hemsedal "downtown".
A slightly larger group ...
Intended to go up the Skurvefjellet but this steep valley was on the way.
Paul chose alternative route.
More attractive and steeper Kyrkjebønøse was chosen instead.
Simon and Felix, the latter with a large spider on his jacket.
Felix seems to be happy about the break.
Coline doesn't agree with Simon.
Storehorn, Hemsedal and Felix, peeing.
Back on skis.
The slope turned steep as we were approaching the summit.
The south-facing slope has rather little snow.
Andreas is pushing towards the top.
The first summit of the ridge with 1610 m.
Hemsedal skiing centre from above.
Panorama of the ridge with arriving Felix.
Hemsedal Mountains.
Anne is following.
A part of the group went also to the neighbouring Leinenøse.
At 1675m.
Simon believes he can fly.
The others continued on the ridge.
And joined us again in the valley.
Paul knew where to find a slope with powder.
Before skiing the remaining part.
Attempting to blend south French and south German cuisine for the dinner.
As the last year, Germans prepared Spätzle.
That was blended with french cheese that they use for Tartiflette.
Spätzle with bacon ...
blended with cheese crating a spätziflette.
Andreas reading e-book under a rifle.
Until the dinner was ready.
Wine donated by drunk Norwegians that we met at the end of our skiing.
»Andreas, you have to eat everything.«
Victor wanted to blow the candle.
The food waiting to be inserted in our mouths.
