Sukkertoppen 1. 4. 2015

This time we decided to "conquer" Trollstein over Sukkertoppen.

Starting directly from Longyearbyen.

Terrain is getting more and more steep.

Not so far from more gentle upper part.

Getting higher and higher above Longyearbyen.

The rest of skiing team.

Light snow was falling from thin stratocumulus clouds.

Just a gentle ascent and we are on the ridge ..

Young reindeer didn't make it through the winter. Must have happened recently.
